The Bookkeeper is responsible for configuring, overseeing, and maintaining our financial data record keeping, ensuring that our ledgers are kept organized, accurate, compliant, and of high quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field; or equivalent experience. CPA certification can be a bonus but is not required.
• Previous accounting and/or bookkeeping experience, especially in a research-and-development focused technology startup environment.
• Experience developing and implementing high-quality accounting standards, including chart of accounts, policies, and procedures.
• Expertise in SFAS regulations, accounting legal/tax compliance/optimization, and standard accounting practices and procedures.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to approach important projects reliably and collaboratively.
• Team player with effective collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining high-quality overall accounting system, including chart of accounts and individual financial ledgers.
• Data-entry, verification, and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements relevant to financial records maintenance and reporting.
• Composing financial reports and statements based on data analysis of accounts.
• Collaborating with company management and accounting team on financial reporting and maintenance.
• Uphold our safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards in the work environment.

Senior Process Engineer/Scientist

Location: San Jose, California, USA

The Senior Process Engineer/Scientist is responsible for leading the development and analysis of new and existing fabrication processes for thin film materials and solar cells.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Material Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another applicable field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on, practical experience with process and equipment development for CuInGaSe2 (CIGS) thin film semiconductor materials and devices.
• Experience with semiconductor-related processes and equipment.
• Thorough understanding of device physics and thin film CIGS device and materials characterization techniques.
• Expertise in various deposition processes for thin film materials including CIGS.
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to approach challenging projects innovatively and collaboratively.
• Team player with effective collaboration, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement effective data-driven experiments to deliver upon milestones such as high cell efficiency and high module performance.
• Lead the development of new and existing thin film fabrication processes and device structures to create high-quality modules.
• Collect, summarize, and analyze data, observations, and findings from process development projects.
• Lead, design, plan, monitor, and/or execute new and existing process development projects, achieving the objectives of these projects within company timelines.
• Support equipment, hardware, and device design, development, engineering, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance.
• Develop innovative procedures for process control to achieve and maintain high quality materials and high efficiency devices.
• Comply with our safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.

Process Engineer

Level: Entry level to mid-level positions available

Location: San Jose, California, USA

The Process Engineer is responsible for contributing to the overall development and engineering of processes and equipment for the manufacturing of our next generation CIGS thin film solar photovoltaic modules.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Material Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or another applicable field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Experience with semiconductor-related processes and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with process and equipment engineering/development for the manufacturing of CuInGaSe2 (CIGS) thin film photovoltaic modules.
• Experience working with material and device characterization techniques for thin film materials and devices (e.g. SEM, XRD, I-V measurements, and more).
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to approach challenging projects innovatively and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, monitor, and/or execute process development projects.
• Collect, summarize, and analyze data, observations, and findings from process development projects.
• Plan and execute data-driven experiments.
• Fully exercise specialized expertise and best technical judgment to provide high-impact contributions including meeting technical milestones and delivering high-efficiency solar cells.
• Support equipment, hardware, and device design, development, engineering, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance.
• Develop and execute process control plans.

Process Technician

Level: Entry level to senior level positions available

Location: San Jose, California, USA

The Process Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining process development tools and assisting the process engineering team in executing different development tasks.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree in an applicable field and/or equivalent demonstrated experience working with thin film materials and devices in a development/manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on experience with thin film deposition processes and materials/device characterization tools.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to approach important projects reliably and collaboratively.
• Team player with effective collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain process development, materials characterization, and device characterization tools.
• Execute tasks related to process development projects, delivering upon task timelines.
• Accurately and thoroughly record observations, data, and notes from process development tasks.
• Support the process engineering team.
• Support equipment/hardware troubleshooting.
• Maintain an organized work environment.
